The reason why the customer asked for unlocking
The guest has a gate key, but after inserting the key, he still cannot open the door. The on-site inspection focused on the anti-locking system inside the metal gate. After the anti-locking system took effect, the door could not be opened normally even if there was a key outside. Therefore, the customer contacted 101 to arrange for a locksmith to arrive on site.
Main concerns of customers
Customers are most worried about the gate being pried, the lock cylinder being damaged, or the need to replace the entire set of gate locks immediately after opening the door. The master first confirms the status of the lock cylinder, deadbolt and indoor anti-locking of the metal gate, and then opens the lock in a technical way according to the on-site conditions.
Onsite inspection and processing methods
After the master arrives at the scene, he first confirms that the guest has the key, and then checks whether the metal gate lock cylinder, the position of the lock tongue and the indoor anti-locking system are in effect. The problem this time stemmed from the activation of the indoor anti-locking system. The master opened the metal gate in a technical way without damaging the metal gate body and the original lock cylinder. After opening the door, he explained the anti-locking status and precautions for future use to the guest.
Test after completion
After opening the door, the master will repeatedly test the gate opening, closing, locking, reverse locking and original key operations to confirm that the gate lock can be used normally. After completion, guests will also be reminded to pay attention to the indoor anti-locking position to avoid the situation of having a key but being unable to open the door again.
Complete indoor and outdoor photos
The following is the record after the indoor anti-locking and unlocking of the metal gate is completed, showing the status of the indoor and outdoor door locks. 101 Locksmith and maintenance suggestions
When the metal gate is equipped with an indoor anti-locking system, you should confirm that the anti-locking system has not been accidentally triggered before leaving the unit. If you encounter a situation where you have a key but cannot open the door, it is not recommended to forcefully twist the key or pry the gate. First, send photos of the gate lock and the situation on site so that the master can determine how to deal with it.
